One year ago this month the Fenton Mill Living proposal was submitted, stealthily, under cover of Covid.
One year ago, one citizen stood up and said “ENOUGH!” His action created a movement that has gained the county’s attention and made developers less confident that they can do whatever they please to make a buck in York County. His action awakened a whole region to our ability, and our responsibility, to work for positive change.
Now that we are awake, we won’t slumber again. We’re moving on to the next development issue, and the next. In the upcoming days, look for information about the CONSERVE YORK COUNTY FOUNDATION, a new non-profit formed as a result of the Preserve Fenton Mill fight. We hope you will continue to stand with us in the future, as we work to preserve the historic and aesthetic value of York County and the Historic Triangle!
You’ll notice the name of our Facebook gradually changing (they don’t allow dramatic name changes, so we’ll do it in stages), and we hope you’ll check out our new website, https://conserveyorkcounty.org.
