We thank the York County Planning Commission, who agreed unanimously to recommend denial of the rezoning.
The Commission is comprised of citizen volunteers, appointed by the Board. There is one representing each of the five voting districts, and two at-large members. It advises the Board of Supervisors on matters regarding planning and development in York County. It develops the Comprehensive Plan and provides recommendations to the Board on use permit requests, the reclassification of property, proposed amendments to development ordinances or policies, and any other community development issue requested by the Board or initiated by the Commission.
